B.A.P to Continue Their Promotion with "Secret Love"

Announced that they will begin their follow up promotion with "Secret Love" soon.

Their agency, TS Entertainment stated that the boys will begin their "Secret Love" promotion(as their follow up track) this week. Also, the boys will surprise their fans with a 180degree transformation too.

"Secret Love" lyrics was composed by B.A.P's leader, Bang Yong Gukhimself. It is regarding a sad love story about two celebrities who have to date secretly. Secret's Song Ji Eun might be joining the boys' performance too but nothing is confirmed yet.

Secret will release their second Japanese single on February 29th. They want to make sure everyone listens to their music so they have madespecial mini-sites for the single's second and third tracks, where fans can listen to the full audio of these songs.

Miss A Unveils 2 MV Teaser Featuring Suzy and Jia for "Touch"

Previously, Miss A members had revealed some photo teasers for their latest music video, creating excitement among their fans.

On Feb 13th, they finally released their first teaser MV for their song, "Touch" featuring Suzy. In the teaser, Suzy seems to be feeling lost, stepping on the rose petals on the floor. She touches the white rose and watches the red color spread throughout the white roses. The teaser ended with the 4 members lying down on scattered roses on the floor.

The girls will make their comeback on Feb 20th. Stay tune for more teasers and also their complete video!

JYP Must Pay for Copyright Infringement

According to Korea Joongang Daily, JYP Entertainment's CEO, Park Jin Young, was sentenced by the Seoul Central District Court to pay for copyright infringement on 10th February.

The whole issue began when KBS' Dream High released the OST track, "Someday", written by Park Jin Youngand sung by IU, in February 2011.
Producer, Kim Shin Il, claimed the song to be a plagiarization of Ash's "To My Man", released back in 2005. In July 2011, Kim Shin Il filed the lawsuit officially and demanded a compensation of about 110 million Won ($98,087).

After a long period of time and arguments from both parties, the Seoul Central District Court made its decision on the issue: It was ruled that the first 4 measures in the chorus of "Someday" are plagiarized but the later part of the song differs from "To My Man". So Park Jin Young will have to pay a compensation of 21.67 million Won ($19,270), instead of the originally demanded 110 million.

Park Jin Young expressed via Twitter, "I'm depressed, as they say I plagiarized a song I'd never heard of. I will cheer up and fight again." In addition to that, he stated to file an appeal to a higher court.

B.A.P Sets a Name For Their Fanclub

TS Entertainment made an announcement regarding B.A.P's official fanclub name recently.

According to the agency, B.A.P's fanclub is named 'Baby' by their leader, Bang Yong Guk. Bang had already thought of the name before they debuted and all the members agreed to use the name.

Core Contents Media announced that Co-ed's male sub group will be debuting under the name of 스피드 (SPEED).
According to the agency, every member agreed with the name because it is and it has interchangeable meaning. The group will remake T-ara's 'Lovey Dovey' as 'Love Dovey Plus'. The members really enjoyed the song especially the shuffle dance. The boys decided to remake 'Lovey Dovey' in their own style along with a powerful rapping.
Superstar K3 contestant, JongKook will replace Kangho who left the group to focus on his acting career.

Daesung to Start Big Bang's Solo Activities

Recently, YG Entertainment's CEO, Yang Hyun Suk, had an interview with My Daily in which he talked about Big Bang's comeback.
He revealed that each of Big Bang's members will have his solo activities this year. He expressed, "Big Bang's biggest asset is that even though they shine when they are together, they can also bring out their own solo albums. So I think of Big Bang as six teams instead of just one team. We plan to start Big Bang's solo activities with Daesung. I want all the scars he got last year to be washed away soon."
In addition to that, Yang Hyun Suk stated that Big Bang will travel to New York soon, in order to record its music video.

Because of some obstacles you had a "blank period" for 4 months now. You have transformed this period into your self-reflection time, right?
I have not rested ever since my debut. Although it wasn't my original intention, with this "blank period", I could look back. Of course it isn't good that I can only reflect when bad things happen. However, if we look at it from another perspective, it was a really meaningful period for me since I could have more time to reflect on myself. It was just like having some good time with myself.
You have expected that once you return, there will be criticism, right?
Yes, I have expected it. No matter what, they are my faults so I will accept them. Ever since I was small, I haven't been a person who is timid. Those who blame will finally fade out but those who love me will know me more during the process. Big Bang is not a short-lived group. If we can explore new things in music, we will just move forward and solve every problem we are facing.
It is said that Big Bang will be active for a whole year?
I think I should be really, really thankful for this year so I will work extra hard. In the past, to be frank, I felt a bit tired and fed up with my work rather than enjoying it.But now, after a period of adjusting time, I feel that it is really precious to have the chance to perform on the stage and I really long for it. I hope that I can keep such kind of passion forever.
Your reputation in the field of fashion is still as good as before. What is your own fashion philosophy?
(very shy) Ah... I don't have any reputation, neither do I have any fashion philosophy. Because I like fashion, I am sensitive to it. What you wear affects how you feel that day, so it is very important to wear the right clothes. Therefore, I spare efforts on my costumes and people like it.
You are called the "clothes hanger" since you have a good bosy shape. Do you pay attention to keeping fit?
In the past, I didn't do so but as I'm growing older, if I don't do so, I will get more and more chubby. (bursts out into laughter) It is just like what Yong Bae said. We are really not young anymore. Last year, no matter how much I ate, I would not get fatter but this year, I just hope that I can slim down as soon as possible. It is the same for Young Bae. (all burst out into laughter) No matter what, I think it is because I have changed from living in the drom to living with my family. I have been eaten so well. That's why I cannot slim down now. I do not just exercise for keeping fit but I'm also preparing for the proposed world tour of this year. That's why I want to start with keeping fit since I have already been resting for a long period of time.
Do you have any plans of releasing a solo album or participating in other fields of showbiz?
(shakes his head) Oh... Even if I don't have such a plan, the president does always want me to take part in dramas. (laughs) I am bad at acting and there are other people who are good at it. It is just like a world that I can never land my foot in. Now, I have enough things to keep me busy so I don't know about whether I will try it anymore. If I really want to do it, I have to prepare myself well first. We decided that we will start my solo activties in summer and it is the same for Taeyang. We have a very tight schedule this year and if fans wait,we will certainly come to them quickly.

After unveiling two tracks from their upcoming album yesterday, Big Bang has done it again with two additional songs.
On January 28th, YG Entertainment uploaded an image to their YG-Life blog with the title and information for two new songs. “Love Dust” and “Bad Boy” both contain lyrics written by G-Dragon, and also feature raps from T.O.P. Teddy lent his talents once again for the composition and arrangement of “Love Dust”, while producer Choice 37 assisted G-Dragon for “Bad Boy”.

SHINee‘s Taemin will put on his independent stage performance.
The singer successfully completed his first solo stage performance during a recent filming for KBS2‘s ‘Immortal Song 2‘.
Fourteen of today’s best vocals gathered to pay tribute to legendary singer Song Chang Sik, but all eyes and ears were focused on Taemin who sang “At Least Once” before a live audience.
In the past, he has captivated his fans with his adorable image and powerful dance moves, but this ‘Immortal Song’ stage is a bit out of his comfort zone.
Before he went on stage, he remarked that he was “nervous about standing on the stage alone“, but he impressed with his ability to sing live, and performed well with the orchestra that played in the background.
“Song Chang Sik sunbaenim smiled proudly at me throughout my entire performance, and so I was able to sing a little more comfortably,” he explained.
Singer Song Chang Sik who was marveled by Taemin’s performance did not hold back his praise for the young singer.
Taemin will make his debut on the January 28th episode of Immortal Song 2 scheduled to air at 6:15 PM KST.

16 January 2012 (Singapore) – Super Junior’s first stop across Southeast Asia in their latest world tour - Super Show 4 tour - will see two full house nights at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 18 and 19 February 2012. Over 10,000 tickets were sold over the weekend in a ‘fastest fingers first’ fashion amongst fervent fans who were battling to get hold of the best seats they could secure through online, phone and counter bookings.

“We were confident that Super Junior fans would definitely fill two full-house nights in Singapore, especially since this is the first stop across Southeast Asia. With the great demand, we made a deliberate effort to reserve tickets across all categories for public sale, so that everyone is given a fair chance to purchase tickets,” says Wendy Ng, Producer of Running Into The Sun, “We also anticipated an extremely high traffic, thus we had the entire team on standby giving live ticketing updates on Facebook and Twitter, and answering questions from anxious fans”.

Concert organizer Running Into The Sun released two concert nights on 18 February (Saturday) 2012, 6.00pm and 19 February (Sunday) 2012, 4.00pm; confident that the massively popular group will attract audiences that would fill more than one night. A one-day priority-booking period was held on 14 January 2012 10.00am for OCBC card members, the official card of the concert; and tickets across all categories were reserved for public sale the next day to ensure fans have a chance to purchase tickets. As the first stop across Southeast Asia, the huge demand for tickets came from Singapore and around the region.

Infinite's "She's Back" was Originally Meant for SHINee

The composer of Infinite's song, "She's Back", revealed this track was originally sold to SM Entertainment, who decided to make it one of SHINee's songs.
So SHINee recorded "She's Back" and it was going to be included in the band's album, Lucifer. However, shortly after the song was finished, it was decided to be excluded from Lucifer, because it didn't match the album's style. "She's Back" had a boyish and cool feel which simply didn't match with the dark concept of Lucifer.
In the end, "She's Back" was left out from Lucifer and given to Infinite. The composer admitted he was disappointed that it couldn't be included in SHINee's album. Nevertheless, he thanked Infinite for doing such a great job at the end.

Who’s debuting and making a comeback under the ‘Big 3′ this year?

2012 is shaping up to be quite the formidable year, as several comebacks and debuts are already being lined up. Labels spent much of last year taking the K-Pop wave to new heights, so what do the ‘Big 3′ have in store for 2012?

For the past several years, SM Entertainment focused on bringing their brand concert, ‘SMTOWN‘, to countries all over the world. While they moved as a family in 2011, the agency plans to take individual groups for concerts overseas.
Super Junior is currently on their ‘Super Show 4‘ world tour, which will continue through the States, Europe, and South America. TVXQ will be kicking off their Japanese arena tour starting January 18th, while SHINee prepares to tour seven Japanese cities starting April 25th.
f(x) is also planning for their Japanese advancement in the first half of the year.
The most anticipated release from SM is their global boy group, EXO. Set to simultaneously debut in both Korea and China, the boys will be promoting all throughout the year to aptly show everything each member has to offer.

YG Entertainment, meanwhile, has two new groups scheduled for debut this year.
Representatives revealed, “Just like the debut of Big Bang and 2NE1, the new groups will take on a color different from their peers.”
Their girl group is scheduled to debut in the first half of the year and is comprised of a few known names like ‘Superstar K2‘ contestant Kim Eunbi.
Details on their boy group have yet to be announced, but many are already predicting that they’ll have a music and fashion style that will shake up the industry.
The label is also holding a YG Family concert in Japan on January 7th, 8th, 21st, and 22nd. Big Bang will have their official Korean comeback in late January or February, right before their ‘Big Show‘ concert in March.
Se7en will be simultaneously releasing a Korean and Japanese album mid-January.

JYP Entertainment plans to focus on the development of their artists globally, as opposed to debuting any new talents.
2PM, the Wonder Girls, and miss A will focus on their overseas promotions to solidify a position for themselves in the States, Japan, and China.
The Wonder Girls will begin their American promotions with the release of their movie, ‘Wonder Girls at the Apollo‘, while 2PM focuses on their Japanese promotions. The label has already set up JYP Japan to fully aid their advancement, and the boys will be performing at the Nippon Budokan over the summer. miss A will also be focusing on their Chinese promotions.
Like their other ‘Big 3′ counterparts, JYP Entertainment is also in the process of debuting a new boy group. The members are currently still being discussed, as is the debut date.

IU was called a ‘pig’ during her debut stage

She may be the nation’s sweetheart now, but singer IU confessed that in the past, she had received harsh criticism while singing on stage.
On the episode of SBS TV ‘Strong Heart‘ that aired on December 27th, IU shared a story about a time she wanted to cry on stage.
“There were two times in life where I wanted to cry,” she said. Once was during her debut stage. It was a day where a lot of boy groups were performing, and a lot of girl fans were there to cheer the boys on. It was these girls that began yelling harsh things to IU. “Once one person started, all of them began joining her,” she continued, thinking back to that day. IU was only sixteen when she debuted and still had a lot of baby fat on her face, and she revealed that the girls in the audience called her a pig.
“The 3-minute song felt so long and regardless of whether or not I was popular, I thought they would listen to my song, but that wasn’t the case,” she said. “After that incident, I’m not discouraged even if the audience is silent after my performance. I am strengthened by the quiet sounds of cheers.”

KARA’s Goo Hara & Nicole share an exercise tip for a slim waist

KARA‘s Goo Hara and Nicole have shared the secret to their perfect abs and waist.
Hara, who is known for her small waist, was measured to have a 22-inch waist. She then revealed how she kept her figure slim through a simulated exercise.
Goo Hara said that a 10-minute workout on a yoga mat is all that’s needed, along with a pillow as a prop.
She explained, “Spread your legs a little less than your shoulder width and touch your knees together. Then sit with your back straight, and move the pillow side to side, making sure your back does not hunch over. Doing three sets of twenty would be the best.”
Nicole also revealed a quick ab workout using only a mat.

SNSD selects Hyoyeon as the most ‘dangerous’ member

On December 1st, the members of SNSD attended ’Show Show Show‘, an event celebrating the establishment of SNSD’s new show on JTBC and was held at the JoongAng Newspaper office building in Seoul. It was here that they introduced ‘SNSD and Troubled Teens‘, the program they will be leading.
When asked who they felt was the most ‘dangerous’ member among their own group, leader Taeyeon remarked, “This is just how I feel personally, but I pick Hyoyeon“, evoking much laughter.
“Not neccessarily ‘dangerous’, but she is the most individualistic, and has a lot of personality. You never know what she’s going to do next“, she continued. Member Yuri added, “When we were filming, Hyoyeon created a lot of fun and entertaining scenes with the teenagers“, further praising her fellow member.
Hyoyeon was then asked how the filming for the first episode was like. “At first, we looked at video clips of these teens and got to know what their day-to-day lives were like in more detail. After watching the videos, I didn’t have the slightest clue as to how to begin helping them resolve their issues. But when I met them in person, they weren’t bad kids, and we shared some good conversations. They listened really well“, she answered.

IU’s brother was ashamed to admit he was related to her

Singer IU confessed that her fame caused her brother some embarrassment in the past.
On December 22nd, IU guested on KBS 2TV‘s ‘Happy Together 3 Christmas Special‘ alongside Jun Hyun Moo, Marcos, Boom, and Kim Na Young.
MC Yoo Jae Suk remarked, “It must have been uncomfortable for your brother knowing that his sister was a famous singer,” to which IU replied, “He was embarrassed of me at first.”
“I’m his older sister, but I come out on TV and try to act cute, so he was embarrassed and refused to tell people about me,” she continued.

SNSD Yoona’s best friend Subin to debut in a new girl group

SNSD member Yoona‘s best friend Subin will be making her debut in a new girl group, Six Bomb.
On December 20th, Jang Entertainment stated, “We are planning on debuting a 5-member girl group next January comprised of members Subin, Jiwoo, Nabi, Hyejin, and Eui Hyun.”
Member Subin is especially receiving interest for being known to be best friends with Yoona since grade school. The two have consistently kept in touch until now, and Yoona has even confessed on SBS ‘Strong Heart‘ that she and Subin put together their own girl group, ‘Seven Princessses’ in school.
Subin remarked, “I am so glad that Yoona and I are able to work together as artists. I will make sure to treat her as my senior, and seek her advice.”
The entertainment insiders have raised fans’ expectations of Subin by saying, “She possesses as much talent as she does remarkable beauty.”
Netizens who heard the news left comments such as, “Pretty friends stick together?”, “Excited to see Yoona’s friend“, and “Hope they will be as successful as SNSD“.

Girls’ Generation releases ‘Time Machine’ from Special Repackaged Album of “The Boys“

Earlier in the month we reported that the ladies of Girls’ Generation would be releasing their special Japanese repackage of their latest album, “The Boys“ and the album has been released.
The album contains 15 tracks in all, including remixes of ‘The Great Escape‘ (Brian Lee Remix), ‘BAD GIRL‘ (featuring DEV and remixed by The Cataracs), and ‘Mr. Taxi‘ (Steve Aoki Remix).
Additionally, a brand new track named ‘Time Machine‘ was also included in this repackaged album.

IU's "Good Day" Named Song of the Year

On December 26th, Gallup Korea honored IU's track "Good Day" with the title of "Song of the Year" for 2011.
Gallup Korea conducted a survey of 3,401 respondents over the age of 13 from November 18th to December 9th, and concluded that IU's hit track brought in 3.9% of total votes. In addition to the most favored song of the year, "Good Day" was also selected as the most popular choice to sing at karaoke.
Second place was awarded to T-ara's disco-themed single, "Roly-Poly", which garnered a respectable 3.3% of votes in total. In third place was Girls' Generation's recently released track, "The Boys", and following in a close fourth was CN Blue's "Intuition".
2011 has been quite an accomplished year for the 18-year-old IU indeed, as her comeback album "Last Fantasy" became a best-seller the day of its release, as is estimated to have made roughly 10 million won in sales.

2NE1 To Release New Japanese Music In February

2NE1 will be heading to Japan once again to promote new music.
The fierce foursome plans on releasing new Japanese music in February and will be promoting heavily in Japan during this time.
Representatives for YG Entertainment, the group's agency, confirmed the news, stating, "2NE1 will be advancing into the Japanese market with a new album in February. Whether it will be a mini-album or a single has not been decided yet, but we have confirmed February to be the date."
2NE1 first broke into the Japanese market earlier this year with the release of their first Japanese mini album in September.
